In this week’s episode of Social Media Q&A, I talk about time management. This is something that anyone who does social media (whether for fun or for business) struggles with.
If you miss any of the episodes, they can be found on my YouTube channel. If you are one of my email subscribers, you will get the episode before anyone else via email (so if you want to get it first, just subscribe for my “50 Social Media Tips” piece on the right side of my site or below this post).
Remember, every Tuesday, I will have my Social Media Q&A logo pinned on my Facebook page and is open for you to post your questions! Each week I will answer a different question.
So without further ado, I present episode 8 of Social Media Q&A…

For me, I MUST block my social media time to certain times of the week.
I blog all day on Mondays. I set up my posts on Mondays as well. It is my marketing day. I use buffer/hootsuite etc. I also tweet during my day.
The other thing that is nice about buffer is that is integrated with google reader.
Great post Mandy.

This is great, great advice Mandy. If you don’t live by your schedule and use automation you will either lose your mind or not reach your goal ~ or both! As you have said before, I think it’s also important in time management not to try to be on every social media platform. You end up not doing anything very well and not getting to half of the important stuff.
Great topic and this is a top struggle for me! Do you allocate your time by platform (e.g., Facebook for you/client/client #2/etc., then Twitter for you/clients)? Or do you allocate time by client (e.g., Client #1 FB/Lin/Twitter, then Client #2, etc.)? LOVED your little one’s appearances – so many of us can relate to trying to balance work and fam! 🙂 Matthew – love your idea of “Marketing Mondays” and I just may incorporate that! Jennifer – totally agree, you can’t be everywhere doing everything well.
